Intermediary

An Intermediary may be appointed by a generator to perform generator functions under the Trading and Settlement Code in the Single Electricity Market. In other words, an intermediary takes care of all the high level administration and functions required for selling electricity into the pool on behalf of the generator.

Typically, the generator nominates a supplier as their intermediary in return for the supplier entering into a power purchase agreement with them. The supplier then typically recieves all the market payments for the energy.
