IWEA statement following fatal incident on construction site

The Irish Wind Energy Association expresses its condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of a man who died following an incident on a wind farm construction site on the Roscommon-Sligo border on Monday evening.
An Garda Síochána and the Health and Safety Authority have both commenced investigations into the incident.
IWEA fully supports the investigations underway to determine the facts of this tragedy.
IWEA chief executive Gary Healy commented: "This is a deeply tragic incident and we offer our deepest condolences to the family of deceased as well as his colleagues. We would also like to acknowledge and commend the efforts of those involved in responding to this incident on Monday evening."
